SoleraEase

Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026.

What this policy covers

This policy describes how SoleraEase handles reader data: what is collected, what is not, who has access, and how readers can contact the publication about privacy. It applies to every page on the SoleraEase domain and its subpaths.

What we collect

SoleraEase collects only the minimum information needed to operate the site. The categories are: standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, request path, referrer), retained for up to 90 days, and anonymous, aggregated analytics on which pages are visited and how readers move between them.

SoleraEase does not collect a reader's name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying information unless the reader provides it (for example, by emailing the publication).

Analytics

The publication uses privacy-respecting, server-side or first-party analytics to count page views and understand which guides readers find useful. The analytics provider configuration is documented internally; readers who want the current provider named can request it through the contact page below.

Cookies

This site sets cookies in three categories:

  • Essential cookies: required for the site to function (for example, remembering which page a reader is currently on within a session).
  • Analytics cookies: first-party only, used to count page views in aggregate. No personally identifying data is associated with these cookies.
  • Affiliate-tracking cookies: when a reader clicks an affiliate link, the destination retailer may set its own first-party cookie to attribute the resulting purchase. Those cookies are controlled by the retailer, not by this publication.

Affiliate tracking

When a reader clicks an affiliate link on SoleraEase, the destination retailer may track the click for the purpose of attributing a future purchase. This publication does not see the reader's name, address, or payment details; the publication only sees aggregated commission reports from the affiliate networks. The full affiliate disclosure lives on the affiliate disclosure page.

Email and newsletters

SoleraEase does not currently collect reader email addresses. A future newsletter is reserved as a possibility; if and when it launches, signup will be explicitly opt-in and this page will be updated to describe the email-handling practices that apply.

Third parties

SoleraEase uses Cloudflare to host the site. Cloudflare may collect IP-level traffic data as part of its DDoS-protection and content-delivery role; see Cloudflare's privacy policy for details. The publication does not share reader data with any third party other than the analytics provider and the hosting provider named here.

Privacy contact

Privacy questions, data-access requests, or correction requests can be sent to [email protected]. Aim for a reply within five business days.
